Other Useful Links
WMNF Forest Roads Status - Lists all road closures that are seasonal and ones that are closed due to storm damage. This sight is particularly helpful during shoulder seasons.
WMNF Website - Lots of other useful information especially if you are just getting acquainted with the White Mountains.
AMC White Mountain Guide Online - You have to subscribe but they do offer a free 5 day trial. I believe it costs $15.00 a year for non-members, less for members. Trust me, if you are going to do a lot of hiking in the White Mountains, this is worth every penny. It allows the user to plug in custom routes to find out mileage, elevation gain/loss, and approximate book time. It also maps out your route and allows you to upload to Google Earth. Routes can be saved for future reference. It does lots of other cool stuff too. Just go, now! Get it!
NH Lists - Wanna know which peaks are on what list? You should be able to find it here along with other helpful info.
Views From The Top - This is a hiking forum where an array of hiking topics are covered. You do need to be a registered user (sponsorship required) in order to post in most forums but you don't need to be to read along.
Hike New Hampshire - Another hiking forum with lots of great topics and advice. You can register yourself and post to all forums after that.
GOOGLE - When in doubt, Google it out. Seriously; I Google trails, trail heads, directions, parking areas, and summits all the time. Why? Because if I have never been there before (like a parking area at a trail head) I like to know just how small or large the lot is, if it has a toilet, if there is a fee to park there, etc...
